Play Your Passion: The Yacht Club at Chandlers
In September 2022, KemperSports proudly launched KemperSports Venues, a new business unit dedicated to serving and supporting the company’s expanding portfolio of non-golf community facilities. As a company built on a commitment to delivering memorable experiences and exceptional service, we are excited to introduce our growing family of KemperSports Venues facilities across the country and highlight how each is serving its local community and enabling its guests and staff to play their passions.
The Yacht Club at Chandlers, a waterfront dining experience and event venue located inside the neighborhood of Chandlers Landing in Rockwall, Texas, joined the KemperSports family in 2019. That same year, the property began a renovation that completely opened up the building to highlight the stunning views of Lake Ray Hubbard and included the ball room, SS Lounge and the addition of new bridal and groom suites for weddings.
Complementing the breathtaking waterfront views is a restaurant dishing out a variety of American-style favorites with a modern twist for brunch, lunch and dinner.
And accompanying the delicious menu and full-service bar is a variety of versatile event spaces perfect for all types of gatherings and celebrations. Featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, the main ballroom overlooks the lake and can accommodate groups up to 180 for weddings, concerts, resident holiday parties and much more. The private SS Lounge, which makes for a great space for happy hours, bridal showers and other smaller, more intimate events, also offers a unique indoor/outdoor experience and comfortable setting for 75 guests, while the Portside room allows for either a casual or formal intimate brunch, luncheon or dinner event for up to 50 guests.
“The Yacht Club at Chandlers is such a special venue because it ties in the history of the neighborhood with new memories being made by residents and DFW-area locals who come in, host their private events and get to enjoy the beautiful and unique scenery of Lake Ray Hubbard,” says Jennifer Cushman, the sales and marketing manager at the venue.
In addition to hosting a variety of private events, The Yacht Club at Chandlers also puts on a number of themed nights and events open to the community, the most popular among locals are karaoke night, live music performances, the annual chili cook off and All-American buffets during the summer holidays. Recently, locals were invited to enjoy a delicious four-course dinner in The Yacht Club’s Lakeside Ballroom to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
