KemperSports to Manage Vidanta Golf Properties in Mexico

Premier destination golf courses join KemperSports’ stable of top-ranked properties

KemperSports has been selected by Vidanta Golf, Mexico’s largest golf course operator, to provide management of their golf properties in Nuevo Vallarta, Puerto Peñasco and Riviera Maya. The portfolio of five golf courses mark the first properties managed by KemperSports in Mexico.

The Vidanta Golf properties join KemperSports’ portfolio of world renowned, top-ranked destination golf courses, including Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, Streamsong Resort, The Prairie Club, The Glen Club and Chambers Bay – host of the 2015 U.S. Open.

“We feel KemperSports is the best partner to fulfill our goals of achieving the highest standards of quality and exceptional service at our golf properties throughout Mexico,” said Kelsy Christensen, operating partner of Vidanta Golf Properties.

The Vidanta Golf portfolio is highlighted by the Greg Norman Signature design at Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta that is slated to open in December 2015. The five-diamond Vidanta Resort in Nuevo Vallarta includes an 18-hole Nicklaus Design course that winds through the lush jungle landscape. Future plans at Nuevo Vallarta include a lighted par-3 course scheduled to open in late 2016.

Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta rounds out its world class golf experience with The Jack Nicklaus Academy of Golf lead by Golf Digest Top-100 Instructor, Tom Stickney. The state-of-the-art instruction facility makes Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta one of the most well-rounded golf destinations in North America.

The second facility managed by KemperSports, Vidanta Puerto Peñasco, is set against the backdrop of the Sea of Cortez and is conveniently located just an hour and a half drive south of the U.S. border near Tucson, AZ. The highly-touted, 18-hole Nicklaus Design delivers panoramic ocean views on 12 holes as the routing roams through the desert and natural sand dunescapes indigenous to the area. An architectural gem, the course will use KemperSports’ network of top-ranked courses to position itself among the best courses in Latin America.

The KemperSports Vidanta portfolio is rounded out by the Nicklaus Design par-3 course at Vidanta Riviera Maya, just south of Cancun, Mexico. The course winds through the Mayan jungle and delivers shot values you would find on any 18-hole course – making it a top destination for novice and avid golfers.

“The Vidanta golf properties are associated with some of the finest resorts in Mexico,” said KemperSports CEO Steve Skinner. “We look forward to working closely with the marketing and ownership groups to enhance all areas of the operation and provide the Vidanta guests with an unparalleled golf experience through great customer service commensurate with the guest experience at the five-star Vidanta Resorts.”
