Property Description:

The crown jewel of the club is the 18-hole championship golf course, renovated in 2004. The course is immaculately maintained with greens that are fast and true. Well-groomed bunkers and attractive landscaping reflect the conscientiousness of the caretakers. The golf course is challenging and presents plenty of temptations to the more polished golfer. A first class 9-hole par 3 course presents some of the most spectacular vistas in the entire Tidewater area. Other diversions at the club include a driving range, putting and chipping greens, swimming pool (seasonal), croquet court, and a complete tennis center with both indoor and outdoor courts. Both the golfing and tennis centers are staffed with certified professionals and include well stocked pro shops. The Cedar Point clubhouse offers a casual dining room and private dining room; both with panoramic views of the water. Additionally, the facility contains private meeting rooms, an art gallery, locker rooms, and the golfing center. An outdoor terrace is a nice area to relax and mingle with friends after any activity. Weekly events keep the clubhouse alive with members and their guests.

 

Position Summary:

Cedar Point Club is looking for a motivated housekeeper to take care of housekeeping of all areas of the main clubhouse, aquatics facility, and on course restrooms. The housekeeper will maintain professionalism and keep a safe working environment within his/her area of responsibility. It is expected that the housekeeper is able to carry out all tasks in a professional manner and maintain a safe working environment at all times under difficult conditions. The housekeeper will work with other team members for the greater benefit of the club, and follow policies and procedures set by the club management.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Clean all areas of main clubhouse, aquatics center, and on course restrooms
  • Empties all trashcans
  • Vacuums rooms and hallways, mop when needed
  • Wipe all windowsills, walls and light switches
  • Dust all furniture and fixtures
  • Wipes mirrors and windows
  • Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms, including toilets, tiles, walls, stalls, sinks and fixtures.
  • Cleans walls, baseboards and floors
  • Restocks towels, soap, other supplies and amenities
  • Performs other duties as appropriate.

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Preferred
  • 1 year applicable custodial experience preferred
  • Demonstrated quality interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems, efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision, work flexible hours as required including nights/weekends/holidays.

 

Position Physical Requirements:

  • Read and write (English)
  • Communicate verbally with staff members with or without the use of two-way radios.
  • Give and/or follow verbal and written instructions
  • Visually inspect all work areas
  • Operate vehicles and equipment for several hours at a time
  • Stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, bend and kneel for up to 5 hours at a time
  • Lift up to 100 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently, and 20 lbs constantly

 

Working Conditions:

Work hours may include days and evenings on weekdays and weekends.  Subject to inside and outside environmental conditions.  May be exposed to inclement weather, potentially dangerous chemicals, solvents, pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers, sharp and rapid equipment movement on a daily basis. Injury may result as a result of exposure to the above if safety policies and practices are not properly followed.
