KemperSports Clients Capture National Golf Course Owners Association Awards

Streamsong Resort, Wilderness Ridge Golf Club take home honors

NORTHBROOK, Illinois, January 21, 2020 – KemperSports is proud to announce that two of its clients – Streamsong Resort and Wilderness Ridge Golf Club – have been honored with a National Golf Course Owners Association (NGCOA) award. This annual program recognizes the individuals and businesses that have helped preserve the tradition of the game while embracing the challenges and opportunities of the golf business.

• Located in Streamsong, Florida, Streamsong Resort’s Black Course won the NGCOA Best South Regional Course Award of 2020. Streamsong Black was designed to elevate Streamsong Resort’s pure golf experience, bringing a fun yet challenging course with memorable design elements to the resort’s existing portfolio. The Gil Hanse-designed course was named Best New Course by GOLF Magazine in 2017 and Best New Course by Golf Digest in 2018. It also served as a host site for the 2019 U.S. Open sectional qualifier.
• Wilderness Ridge Golf Club, based in Lincoln, Nebraska, earned the NGCOA Player Development Award of 2020, which recognizes a course that implements true and tested player development programs, provides effective return-on-investment and creates an overall welcoming atmosphere for new golfers of all ages. Wilderness Ridge’s inclusive line up of player development programs range from pee wee juniors all the way up to adults and introduce hundreds of new players to the game annually. Bandon Dunes Golf Resort and Cantigny Golf Club, both KemperSports managed properties, won the 2018 and 2017 NGCOA Player Development Awards respectively.
