#ThankASuper Spotlight Series: Will Bell
In honor of international “Thank a Golf Course Superintendent Day,” we’re highlighting some of the outstanding superintendents within the KemperSports family.
Will Bell
Director of Agronomy
Forest Creek Golf Club (Round Rock, TX)
The 2018 KemperSports Superintendent of the Year, Will Bell has worked at Forest Creek Golf Club for five years and owns 22 total years of experience in the industry.
After growing up on a farm and playing high school golf, which led to a collegiate career, Will put the combination of those experiences into the field of golf course management. Today, he is filled with joy every day when he goes to his “120-acre office” surrounded by the game he loves.
In his time at Forest Creek Golf Club, Will has been instrumental in implementing native areas across the course that help reduce water and pesticide usage. These areas also require much less maintenance, saving time and resources. To continue advancing the field of golf course maintenance, he recommends focusing on innovative approaches that use the latest technology to conserve water and minimize water waste.
Finally, when asked what the game of golf means to him, Will said, “I have been around the game of golf my entire life. It means being outdoors every day working and playing this great game. It means being creative, whether that is playing different shots on the course or being creative in how I provide better quality playing surfaces throughout.”

Congratulations Will. You, Jeremy and the entire crew run a great operation here at Forest Creek and the golf course looks superb.
I’ve known Will since he has been at Forest Creek and he is BEST IN CLASS. I receive numerous comments from golfers saying how beautiful the course is. They remember what it look like before.
Thumbs up to his whole staff
