Paradise Valley and Rancho Solano Tee Up Junior Golf Camps
FAIRFIELD, California, July 16, 2020 – Paradise Valley and Rancho Solano are excited to reinstate summer junior golf camps and junior programs for the summer. After a thorough review of COVID-19 health and safety protocols, the courses have developed new programming to serve junior golfers this summer and provide an outlet for entertainment, exercise and fun. Due to popularity and camps have been added for July with plans to continue throughout the summer.
“We are thrilled to be able to move forward with the junior programming in our newly created Fairfield Golf Academy, in a way that fits today’s health and safety precautions,” states Jeff Perry, General Manager for Paradise Valley and Rancho Solano Golf Courses. “We expect that both parents and kids will be thrilled to be able to get out of the house and do something outside in a fun and safe atmosphere.”
The golf camps provide instruction on the fundamentals of the golf game, while at the same time, creating a fun learning environment to inspire, motivate and retain students. Juniors ages 6-17 are eligible to participate, and the cost is $149 for the four-day camps. In addition to golf camps, other youth programs are now available at Paradise Valley and Rancho Solano, including monthly supervised practice programs, two-day-a-week one-hour Introduction to Golf sessions, PGA Junior League, Youth on Course, an initiative that provides juniors with a $5 green fee rate when they join the NCGA program, as well as private and semi-private instruction from PGA Golf Professionals. Health and safety measures are a top priority at both facilities, and all activities include proper spacing and social-distancing protocols throughout the instruction. Additional safety measures are currently in place throughout both facilities and include: constant hand-sanitizing with hand sanitizing stations located throughout each facility, no sharing of equipment, sanitizing all common areas after each use, and requiring mandatory facemasks for all guests who enter the clubhouse.
