20-Year Industry Veteran to Join Property Staff and Oversee Member Engagement and Club Operations for The Village Club of Sands Point
SANDS POINT, New York — The Village Club of Sands Point, a premier family-friendly private club owned by the Village of Sands Point and managed by KemperSports, is pleased to announce that Jeffrey Shepard has joined the team as general manager. In this role, Shepard will oversee all club operations for the historic Long Island club.
Shepard brings more than 20 years of experience in the golf and resort industry to his new role at The Village Club of Sands Point. Most recently, he served as a regional director of operations for a multi-course operator where he oversaw business development and operational strategies for 10 East Coast properties. Prior to that, Shepard held key leadership positions at top private clubs around the country, including general manager of the private clubs at Pinehurst Resort, host of the 2014 U.S. Open and U.S. Women’s Open.

Shepard is a Class “A” PGA Member and holds a Business Management/Sports Management degree from Champlain College in Burlington, VT.
The Village Club is located within the Village of Sands Point, just minutes from the Long Island Expressway and 40 minutes by train from New York City. The 18-hole championship golf course, designed by Robert Trent Jones and recently updated by Tom Doak, is the centerpiece of the club. Additional amenities include a newly remodeled swimming pool facility overlooking Hempstead Harbor, 12 regulation tennis courts, 5 platform tennis courts, unique event space and exceptional dining outlets.
