Steve Skinner and Josh Lesnik named to Golf Inc.’s List of The Most Powerful People in Golf
KemperSports CEO Steve Skinner and President Josh Lesnik were honored in the top 10 most influential leaders in the U.S. golf business by Golf Inc., ranking No. 8 on the publication’s annual listing of the Most Powerful People in Golf.
Skinner and Lesnik pave the way for continued investment and innovation in the company’s people, technology and solutions. Steve Skinner joined KemperSports in 1998 and has served in various roles with the company before achieving the title of chief executive officer in 2008. Skinner became just the second CEO in the company’s history when he succeeded the company’s founder, Steve Lesnik. Throughout his tenure, Skinner has been instrumental in KemperSports’ growth and development initiatives, seeing the company grow to manage more than 130 properties in 25 states. Skinner was one of the founding members of The First Tee of Chicago, currently serves on the executive committee of the Chicago Sports Commission and is a member of the Economic Club of Chicago.
Josh Lesnik has been with KemperSports for more than 25 years and has served as president of the company since 2007. Lesnik was the first general manager of Bandon Dunes Golf Resort and has since been regularly involved in building, opening and operating top 100 courses across the KemperSports portfolio, including Bandon Dunes, Sand Valley, Chambers Bay and Streamsong Resort, among others, as well as Cabot Links and Cabot Cliffs. Lesnik currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Western Golf Association and The First Tee of Greater Chicago and is also on the Regional Affairs Committee of the United States Golf Association.
