Country Club of St. Albans & Joe Schwent Honored by Metropolitan Amateur Golf Association
The Metropolitan Amateur Golf Association (MAGA) celebrated the 2019 season with its annual Player of the Year Reception on Thursday, November 7. The MAGA named Country Club of St. Albans (St. Albans, Missouri) the Private Host Facility of the Year and Director of Golf Joe Schwent was named the Host Professional/Staff of the Year. Both of these awards were new to the MAGA and were voted on by the top players who participated in many MAGA Championships and United States Golf Association (USGA) qualifying rounds in 2019. The Club was the host site of the Metropolitan Open Championship, June 4-7, 2019.
