KemperSports Announces KemperClub Championship
Fourth annual event to take place at Chambers Bay – site of the 2015 U.S. Open Championship
KemperSports and KemperClub officially announced the dates for the fourth annual KemperClub Championship. The annual event will take place September 2-4, at a pair of Pacific Northwest Championship venues, including Chambers Bay – site of Jordan Spieth’s historic victory at the 2015 U.S. Open Championship – and The Home Course, which has hosted numerous regional and national championships including the 2014 U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links Championship and serving as the co-host for the 2010 U.S. Amateur.
Coming on the heels of three popular championships at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in fall 2014, The Prairie Club in 2015 and Hawthorn Woods Country Club, Royal Melbourne Country Club and The Glen Club in 2016, the KemperClub Championship is held annually at one of KemperSports’ highly-rated golf courses. The event, which will consist of 40, two-person teams competing in a four-ball format and flighted by handicaps, includes three tournament rounds (two at Chambers Bay, one at The Home Course), welcome reception, awards luncheon, skills competition with dinner, custom gift package for all players & prizes for winners and a donation to Folds of Honor.
“It’s not very often that amateurs get to play a tournament at a U.S. Open venue,” said KemperSports CEO Steve Skinner. “We look forward to trying to re-create the excitement from the 2015 U.S. Open, and even give the players the chance to play the Sunday hole locations.”
